Nicolas Cage just gave us what he thinks about the Star Wars vs Star Trek debate and what he said might surprise you. 

According to Cage, he'd love to come aboard U.S.S. Enterprise over a Star Wars role. 

Cage revealed his opinion on what sci-fi should focus on and he appreciates Star Trek for its approach to sci-fi films, which he believes is superior to that of Star Wars.

Given Cage’s revelation, fans of the Star Trek franchise will be hoping Paramount Pictures take note and include him in the next installment of the Star Trek series.

Cage is a veteran actor and any franchise, whether Star Trek or Star Wars, will benefit from his experience and pizzazz.

However, Paramount will have to move fast as Cage is in the midst of a renaissance that is seeing him in high demand
