Most actors would tell you they would jump at the chance for a shot at joining the MCU without second thought. 

However, it's different when it's you in that position, which is the exact thing that happened with Don Cheadle.

Apparently, Cheadle was at his son's birthday party when the executives at Marvel Studios called to offer him a multi-film deal to star as War Machine in the MCU.

Marvel Studios initially gave a one-hour deadline for Cheadle to reply but upon learning he was at his son's birthday, they gave him two hours instead.

Given that Cheadle is now one of the longest-tenured actors in the MCU, we all know how it turned out.

Still, we can't imagine the toll it took on him to have to make a massive decision in just two hours with zero prior notice.
