The Rock overplayed his hand with the DC Universe, as per the recent reports. 

Sources claim The Rock tried to sell Warner Bros. Discovery's new CEO, David Zaslav, on a multi-year roadmap for the DC Extended Universe. 

Given how things turned out, it is safe to say that this meeting didn't go the way The Rock had planned. 

The same sources claim that a lot of Warner Bros. executives didn't like that The Rock went over their heads and directly to Zaslav for a meeting. 

It's also reported that The Rock had insanely high demands for Black Adam, which ultimately didn't perform as well as it was expected to at the global box office. 

The Rock is currently out of the DC Universe as Black Adam for the foreseeable future.
