Splinter Cell Remake For Modern Audiences

In order to appeal to a new generation of players, the forthcoming Splinter Cell remake will rewrite the story. 

Currently, Ubisoft Toronto is looking to hire a scriptwriter to update the original game’s story “for a modern audience”.

Last December, Ubisoft officially confirmed it was working on a remake of Splinter Cell, a stealth action game released exclusively for Xbox in 2002.

Among other things, it said that the game was being rebuilt with the Snowdrop engine, which also powers The Division and is being used for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Ubisoft’s Star Wars game—“to provide new-generation visuals and gameplay, as well as dynamic lighting and shadows”.
