How To Use The Auspex And Data-Interrogator – In order to complete most missions in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, the crew must fend off an enemy attack and send vital information out of the conflict area. Due to the unstable nature of Imperial technology, these battles are some of the most fierce in the entire game. A malfunctioning Auspex in the field is not explained to new players in any way either.
This tutorial will get you ready for the next time if your first run-in with an Auspex or a Data-Interrogator left you scratching your head as the forces of Chaos closed in around you.

How To Use An Auspex In Warhammer 40000: Darktide

You’ll soon need to employ your Auspex if a task calls for you to send out a Servo-Skull to scan the region. When the Servo-Skull emits a pulse of blue light, it has arrived at its goal, so keep an eye on it while it floats around the region.
You can equip your Auspex once you’ve identified the search region. It is located in slot 4 of your loadout and is only usable when a Servo-Skull is engaged.
Holding down the secondary firing button causes bright orbs to appear on the Auspex screen. Find the orbs’ location using the Auspex as a radar. The simplest approach to do this is to position oneself in front of an orb, sprint a few metres ahead, and then scan again.

The orb will light brightly and the Auspex will beep repeatedly when you are close to the scan target (often within melee range). While scanning, look for anything close that is glowing. Don’t rule out any objects because this might be anything from a corpse to a container to a smear on the floor!
Hold the primary fire button down after locating the target until the Auspex can complete a thorough scan of the object. Considering that this takes a few seconds, make sure no attackers are approaching you! Return to the Servo-Skull to upload the data when all the scannable objects in the search region have been discovered and analysed.
In most missions, the Servo-Skull will change locations, requiring you to repeat the procedure there before moving on.
How To Use A Data-Interrogator In Warhammer 40000: Darktide
You will be required to place Data-Interrogators at one or more objectives when the squad needs to break into a computer system. A timer will begin when all required tools are in position. When it’s finished, you can continue.
A Data-Interrogator will occasionally crash during a battle, pausing the timer and needing one of the squad members to manually restart it. When you’re close by, the malfunctioning equipment will be audibly beep repeatedly and be indicated with an objective marker.
To display a screen, interact with the Data-Interrogator. On the screen, a square pointer will swivel left and right. Press the primary fire button once it is aligned with the glyph shown in orange. The cursor will advance to the following line down if the timing is right. You will revert back a step if you don’t. The Data-Interrogator will restart once you’ve made a successful entry on the bottom line, and the timer will then start again.
It may appear that the glyphs on the screen have meaning, but regardless of how they appear, only the highlighted glyph is important for solving the puzzle.
Even when done precisely, restarting a Data-Interrogator takes a few seconds. A teammate should always keep watch when someone is repairing a gadget because getting hit while attempting to solve the problem causes the team member to exit the interface and have to restart.
