Titanic Anniversary
Even on the 25th Titanic anniversary, the actors and viewers of Titanic are still left with one unanswered issue about the movie’s sad conclusion, despite the fact that it will always be remembered as one of the best films ever created. Internet users have speculated that Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack Dawson might have survived till the very end over the years.
Many internet hypotheses contend that the door that ultimately saved Rose’s life in the movie could have accommodated both Kate Winslet’s Rose and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack. Kate Winslet recently commented on the famed discussion while promoting Avatar: The Way of Water. The cast and crew of the movie have been questioned about it on numerous occasions.

In response to the “Titanic door dispute,” Kate Winslet

Winslet has put to rest the controversy about whether Jack and Rose could have both fits on the door that we see her character atop in the movie’s closing seconds when speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Weary of answering the same questions, Winslet initially said, “I f*****g don’t know. That is the solution. I f*****g don’t know.”
She subsequently added, “Look, all I can tell you is, I do have a decent understanding of water and how it behaves,” but at the time, she only said that. Winslet continued by describing her expertise in kitesurfing, scuba diving, and paddleboarding “A stand-up paddleboard becomes quickly and incredibly unstable when two adults are placed on it. That much is true.”

She then stated in her conclusion, “To be really honest, I don’t think one of us would have survived if we had both climbed onto that door. I believe he would have fit, but the plan would have tipped and been unworkable.”
What has James Cameron stated about Jack staying alive?
Here is how director James Cameron has responded to the Titanic door controversy, which has come up repeatedly on Titanic Anniversary.
According to Cameron, he did a scientific experiment with two stunt performers who had the same body mass as Kate and Leo, fitted them with sensors inside and out, submerged them in freezing water, and then presented how it demonstrated that none of them had a chance of surviving.

When James Cameron visited Mythbusters in 2012, he declared, “According to the script, Jack must pass away. Maybe we made a mistake. It ought to have been a little bit smaller on the board. But the guy is falling.”
The director pushed his point further in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2017, saying, “The movie’s conclusion would have been useless if he had lived. He had to die since the movie is about death and separation.”
