Artwork from The Witcher: Blood Origin was stolen
Recently, it was discovered that The Witcher: Blood Origin had used artwork without the artist’s consent as backdrop items in a scene. In one episode, you can see some monster drawings in the background of a scene. Shawn Coss is the artist behind these sketches. He revealed what had transpired on Twitter.

He described how the presentation had leveraged his visual aesthetic and his very own sketches to display monster pictures. He even displayed a side-by-side comparison of the illustrations to demonstrate how the spin-off series would encounter much more issues than it already does. This is a problem for Netflix as well because, like the creators of The Witcher: Blood Origin, Netflix is now responsible for art theft and must answer to the law. Coss even mentioned that this wasn’t the first time this had occurred to him, mentioning that the Juice World team had hired him before ghosting him after he had completed his artwork.

The failure of the franchise to rise as a result of Henry Cavill’s departure
Henry Cavill’s departure from the franchise was a significant problem for The Witcher. The lead role would then be taken over by Liam Hemsworth, it was revealed. Fans were not at all pleased to hear this, and despite the showrunner’s assurances, both the series and its writers have been facing a lot of criticism.
The Witcher: Blood Origin received a lot of buzz and has been hailed as the franchise’s saviour. The situation, however, ended up being the exact reverse. The show was widely panned by critics, and the response it got wasn’t great.
