THE WITCHER 3 Hunting a Witch WIKI GUIDE AND WALKTHROUGH – The first objective in Velen’s second main narrative, Hunting a Witch, is to locate Ciri.
Geralt is on his way to inquire about Ciri’s run-in with the witch. There are rumours that a witch has moved into Midcopse. Navigate there by finding the marker on the minimap.
The house in town seems a little uneasy around you. A nearby resident is sweeping her home while making snide remarks about a witch. If you talk to her, she will direct you to her husband, a major admirer of the witch’s creations. Go speak with him. He is reluctant to reveal anything about his cherished witch to you. You can persuade him to tell you if your Axii sign is upgraded to level 2. If not, you’ll have to pay 50 crowns for the information.

There are two additional residents that can provide information regarding the witch and her whereabouts. You can listen in on two women talking at a village exit or speak with an elderly man perched on a tree on the west side of the settlement. If you don’t have Axii at level two, it is much better that both of these selections be free.
Make your way out of the village and to the witch’s hut now that you know where she is. Upon her arrival, numerous locals are pleading with her to preserve a cow. They are sent away because she doesn’t seem to be in the best mood. When everyone has left, walk inside her home. You will observe that she is not present inside. Use your Witcher Senses to scan your surroundings. A skull is located near the chalk pentagram. Uncover that to reveal a hidden doorway. Go inside and look for the witch.

The witch is holding out for you in this secret grotto. Meet Keira Metz at the top of the stairs. She is not at all reserved. Ask her what information she has on Ciri. It transpires that an elf has also been enquiring about Ciri from her. Accept the elf’s invitation to join you on the next quest, “Wandering in the Dark,” in the ruins.
