How To Beat Tybalt In The Witcher 3’s High Stakes Side Quest – In The Witcher 3, a straightforward deck of cards occasionally poses the greatest threat to you rather than a monster or soldier. Geralt is as big a lover of Gwent as anybody else, and it’s debatably as as rich and satisfying an experience as the rest of the game, earning itself even a solo spin-off.
The ‘High Stakes’ side mission is not for the unprepared, despite the fact that you are just up against NPCs. Your deck and strategy will be put to the test by these Gwent masters, particularly the ultimate foe Tybalt. Check out our tutorial if you need advice on how to prevail in this “High Stakes” competition.
For a more thorough walkthrough experience, we’ve expanded on our match strategies and added parts on the post-tournament phase of this quest.
Winning The Tournament – How To Beat Tybalt In The Witcher 3’s High Stakes Side Quest
At reading the announcement posted on the bulletin board by St. Gregory’s Bridge in Novigrad, you begin this quest. You can enter the event by following the waypoint to Passiflora, but make sure your deck is prepared first. Make a save here if you think you might need to go out and gather more better cards since once you enter the competition, you won’t be allowed to leave to acquire more cards.
You have the option to mingle with the players after paying the entry fee, or you can start playing right away after chatting with Sasha. Although you technically do not need to win any matches in order to accomplish the quest, if you do win them all—including the final match against Tybalt—you will receive special cards that you cannot find anywhere else in the game. They won’t allow you to try again.
If you want to win, you should seriously consider saving before each game.
