THE WITCHER 3 A Princess in Distress WIKI GUIDE AND WALKTHROUGH – The quest A Princess in Distress has nothing to do with royalty. A bell, a goat, and a bear are all involved in this mission, which is necessary to progress the main quest “Family Matters.” Oh my!
Just follow the marker to the Pellar’s cabin in Blackbough and you’ll be there quickly. There are a number of irate guards knocking on the Pellar’s door outside the hut.
The fact that their companion became ill after listening to the Pellar’s medical advise has led to the guards’ ire. Combat them or, more easily, diffuse the situation by offering your own medical advise. Talk to the Pellar once the guards have left the area.

The Pellar is strange and always speaks in the third person, but he does appear to know something about the wife and daughter of the baron. Princess, his pet goat, was unfortunately scared off by the guards. If his goat is absent, he won’t be able to assist you. As you look for her, he gives you her favourite bell.
Go into the woods behind his hut and press the top right shoulder button (R1/RB) to ring the bell. The goat will call out when she hears the bell, making her very easy to spot with Witcher Senses. Kill the wolves that are in your path to the goat. Pick any strawberry or raspberry plants you find as well. On the way back, the goat will devour them, which will make you go more slowly.
