The next expansion for Final Fantasy 14 will finally raise the level cap to 100. – MMORPGs have this issue constantly. Players will always desire additional character levels to use in their games, but ultimately the numbers get to a point where increasing them becomes meaningless. Since Heavensward, each new addition for Final Fantasy 14 has gradually increased player levels by 10, and this year’s expansion will give players a new 100-level ceiling.
According to the game’s director Naoki Yoshida, the level cap will increase from the current cap of 90 with the following expansion to 100. This was stated in the patch notes for the most recent 6.3 update, which have been summarised by the blogs Livedoor and Games Radar. But what comes next is anybody’s guess.

Yoshida said that simply raising the level ceiling to 110 would feel like a “halfway” solution when talking about what to do following the following expansion. He didn’t specifically state what the level maximum will be raised to in the expansion after the following, but he made it obvious that 10 levels would simply not do after reaching level 100.
WARHAMMER+ STREAMING SERVICE FAILS TO OUTDO YOUTUBERS, BUT STILL PROFITABLE
Final Fantasy 14 is expected to receive a new expansion later this year in keeping with its two-year cycle, even if specifics haven’t been disclosed. Normally, such expansions would have come in the summer, but Endwalker was delayed by the COVID-19 epidemic by five months. Yoshida has plenty of time to calculate the calculations because the expansion that would lift the cap above 100 is probably going to happen in 2025.
Before that, fans can anticipate fully-clothed kappa suits and unique Fat Chocobo Heads (Water Imp for Western players). Lead item designer Yosuke Hayashi confirmed the Fat Chocobo Head cosmetic will be dyeable in the near future, but those wishing to adopt the kappa look will have to wait a little longer in a Backstage Investigators interview.
