The Last of Us (TV series) Trailer: HBO releases the first full trailer for The Last of Us

The first full trailer for HBO’s The Last of Us series has been released:

It was released in celebration of Last of Us Day and offers our first glimpses of live-action Clickers, the overgrown United States landscape, old and new characters, and even that iconic opening scene.

Despite seeing much more of the show today, we still do not know when it will be released. The only hint we have is ‘2023’.

A new look at HBO’s upcoming series, The Last of Us, has been revealed.

In celebration of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Day (previously known as Outbreak Day), HBO will release a new look at its upcoming video game adaptation, starring Pedro Pascal as Joel, and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

“The Last of Us Day is our way of celebrating the incredible The Last of Us community who bring so much positivity, kindness, and joy, not only to us at the studio but to each other,” said Naughty Dog. “For 2022, we have some surprises that we’re thrilled to share!”

Observing HBO’s Twitter feed, it appears that one of those surprises is a glimpse of the upcoming series. There is a short, five-second stinger that features HBO’s iconic logo and the distinctive clicker sound that evokes the infamous enemies of The Last of Us.

Posted to Twitter with the hashtag #TLOUDAY, it appears that the video will give The Last of Us fans even more reason to celebrate. It is unclear exactly what we will receive – the video itself does not provide any hints. However, now seems like a good time to provide a little more information about the upcoming TV adaptation.

“We’re so humbled to celebrate The Last of Us community annually with #TLOUDay,” said Naughty Dog. “To the edge of the universe and back – with all the gratitude and thanks to our incredible community – endure and survive.”

Once again, there is no mention of the upcoming HBO series, but if we do not see Joel and Ellie in action by the end of the day, you can throw us to the wolves.
This will not be the first time we have seen the upcoming show since HBO released a first look at The Last of Us just last month.

As well as Joel and Ellie, the short teaser shows Sarah (Nico Parker), Bill (Nick Offerman), a clicker (or the remains of one), and perhaps Frank (Murray Bartlett).

There is no indication as to what we will see today, but it sounds as if zombies are on the way.
