The second trailer for DC Studios’ “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” in which Zachary Levi and Asher Angel reprise their roles as Billy Batson (aka Shazam) and Billy Batson, respectively, has been released. The foster siblings of Batson, who are all superheroes who work as the “Shazamily” in Philadelphia, will receive more attention in the sequel to the 2019 film “Shazam!” In addition to Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Frederick “Freddy” Freeman, Eugene Choi will be portrayed by Ross Butler and Ian Chen, Darla Dudley by Meagan Good and Faithe Herman, and Mary Bromfield by Grace Fulton.

David F. Sandberg, the director of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, spoke with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the most recent information after the trailer’s premiere earlier today. Sandberg adds that the actress was quite different from what he had anticipated while speaking about the deeper look the teaser provides at Hespera, played by Mirren. The DCU movie Shazam 2 marks Mirren’s debut appearance in a superhero movie.
