How To Complete The Incinerator Scene In The Devil In Me – When director Charlie Lonnit was exploring a hotel with his crew in a previous scene of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, the scene abruptly ended as he fell through a trap floor. Take control of Charlie as he wanders into his hardest obstacle yet, the group pretty much split apart and battling for their life against a killer.
We’re here to walk you through the next potential character death in the Incinerator scene as you’ve previously chosen the fates of your cast members thus far in this game.
The choices you make and the clues you uncover directly affect how the game plays out, much like in the other games from The Dark Pictures Anthology.
We have played The Devil in Me several times to bring you the most comprehensive instructions we can, albeit we might have missed a few minor details along the way.
Exploring The Locked Room – How To Complete The Incinerator Scene In The Devil In Me,Incinerator Scene Walkthrough
You’ll have a few secrets to uncover in the first location once Charlie awakens in the closed basement room before moving on to the crucial choice.
The key to the gate in this chamber is on your left when you regain control, so take it to move on.
But before you proceed, look at the pictures on the table in the following room to find Photos of Victims. The Foreman’s Log, another top-secret, is located on the counters just behind that.
Once you’ve located these items, enter the room with the red-lit monitor and press the wall switch next to it to unlock the door.
In this room, a doll is chained to the door of another door. To enter this area, use the switch on the wall opposite from you to unlock a different door. To proceed, turn the switch on the adjacent wall.
Shimmy through the opening between a wall and a box up ahead, leap over some rubble, and you’ll find a locked desk with an obol inside on the right. Charlie may access the drawer by using his business card.
Charlie hears someone screaming as soon as the electricity is turned off in this room. Turn around and walk back toward where you first entered this location.
Charlie’s First Possible Death – Force Door Or Lift Grate
A room with debris all over the floor is accessible through an open door on the left after the power has been turned off. Investigate the smokes lying on the floor next to the toolbox as you enter the room.
Although Jamie, Kate, and Mark are shown locating a screen to watch Charlie in a brief cutscene, you don’t take control of them before returning to Charlie.
Gas is being pumped back into the furnace as a mannequin holding Charlie’s lighter rises from the ground. The gas in the room is ignited by the spark.
Charlie must choose between trying to force the door open or choosing to lift the floor grate once the fire has started in order to prevent being roasted alive. Charlie’s life and death depend on your choices in this situation.
Whichever you decide, you’ll have to make a decision twice. The table below lists the possible outcomes of this incident.
You’ve already seen one of Charlie’s possible outcomes here if you found the Burnt photo prediction back in the Cigarettes scene.
|If Charlie chooses to…||Then…|
|Lift the grate twice||Charlie avoids the furnace by hiding in the floor.|
|Force the door twice||As Charlie’s arm is forced through the window and into the flames beyond, he is killed in the furnace.|
|Do one choice followed by the other/Do nothing||Charlie is killed in the furnace by the flames because he doesn’t have enough time to successfully attempt either strategy.|
Once you’ve decided, the scene is over.
