Beginning The Scene – How To Complete The Cliffside Scene In The Devil In Me

Charlie will serve as your player character in this scenario if he is still alive during your playing. You will control Mark in this situation instead if Charlie perished in the Incinerator trap or the Waste Disposal machine.
Depending on whose character you are commanding, the scene starts off differently even though they both end up in the same place. Furthermore, regardless of whatever man you’re in control of, Charlie could pass away in this moment but Mark won’t be in danger of dying.
Playing Cliffside As Charlie
You start the scene by running to find Mark after hearing him scream. When you reach the bottom of the stairs to Charlie’s left, check out the locked gate on your left. Follow the small wish path that has been carved into the grass just before you down the steps to scale the fence and access the space behind the closed gate from above.
Open the gate once you’re down here, and then push the box into the courtyard where you were before. You can notice a missing portion of the barbed wire along the top of the fence if you move it across this area toward the other corner.
Charlie, the Devil in Me, discovers a locked chest while exploring the cliffs in Cliffside.
Crawl on top of the box, align it with this area of the fence, and then use it to climb over it.
Charlie will be scaling a steep slope on the other side of the route that leads down to the left. At the bottom, turn right and crawl beneath a tree trunk that has fallen. Proceed to the right of what appears to be a dead end up ahead so that Charlie can leap a shattered fence from there.
Go all the way to the left in this next location and climb up the portion of the iron fence that has fallen, then turn immediately to the left and climb up the top of the gate. You’re in the right place if you see a brief cutscene of a dog growling at Charlie.

Turn right and proceed along the trail of rotting ground boards to an elevator that is broken when you regain control of Charlie on the other side of this barrier.
Climb twice up the rock formation directly behind you, then turn left and hop across a tiny gap. Running down this path will allow you to reach the elevator shaft’s top, from whence you can crawl back down.
There is a cutscene with Charlie and Mark meeting up and discussing what they know about Du’Met and the others after you get to the bottom. No matter whatever character you are commanding, the gameplay will now remain the same.
Playing Cliffside As Mark
Your objective is to reach the lighthouse; finding anyone is not a concern as Charlie has long since vanished. It doesn’t matter if you hopped or tumbled out of the changing rooms as you exited the pool because Mark starts this scenario in the same spot either way.

my inner devil Mark at the beginning of the cliffside scenario.
When you take control of Mark, run down the path in front of you, toward the home with the light on. You have a choice of ascending the stairs to your right or passing through an open gate to your left when you reach the path’s bottom. The stairs to the right advance the game, but the left includes some world-building items to find.
Follow this path through the rocks after ascending the steps, shimmying, crouching, and jumping as required. You discover that the bridge ahead has been destroyed when you reach the top of this rock structure.
Follow this path by hopping down the rocks on your left. It notices you squatting down next to a downed tree, where there is a gap in the rocks through which you may shimmy to your left. To get past this, climb up the rocks, then carefully balance along the narrow ledge at the top to pass to the other side.
The devil in me left his mark on the first row of stones, which is where most people fall.
Upon reaching the other side of the collapsed bridge, turn right and hop across a group of rocks, ducking through a gap in a bigger rock. To ascend from here, use the bridge’s planks.
The gate that warns you to stay out is straight ahead at the top, where you’ll encounter a barking dog. If Mark chooses to hurl a rock at the dog, one of two outcomes is possible.
If you throw the rock | The dog is scared off. |
---|---|
If you do not throw the rock | Mark pets the dog and learns his name is Connie. Mark crawls around the fence, and Connie runs off unharmed. |
