The original version of this post was published during the event that introduced Spritzee, Swirlix, and their evolutions. In Pokemon GO, the method for evolving Spritzee and Swirlix Pokemon Go has not changed, but they no longer spawn in mass, in raids, or in field research encounters as they did during the event. This post has been reworked to keep it up-to-date since it became out-of-date once the event ended.
How to Catch Spritzee and Swirlix In Pokemon Go

You will need to catch either of these Pokemon before you can evolve them. Both of them are found in the wild, but you are unlikely to encounter them very often due to their rarity.
In spite of this, Spritzee and Swirlix will both hatch from 2km eggs, so they should not be too difficult to locate. Currently, these two Fairy-types are not available in raids or as rewards for field research encounters.

How to Evolve Spritzee in Pokemon GO
Spritzee evolves when traded while holding a Sachet in the main series games. In Pokemon GO, Sachets do not exist, so you will need to use another method to obtain them.
In order to evolve the Spritzee candy, you will need 50 of them, so once you have enough, you can begin the evolution process, which is as follows:
- Make Spritzee your buddy.
- While it’s your buddy, activate an Incense from your inventory.
- Head back to the Pokemon page for your Spritzee and evolve it into Aromatisse.

Unfortunately, it appears that you must activate an Incense while Spritzee is your buddy in order to evolve it. Consequently, an Incense cannot be already active when it is made your buddy and evolved, nor can multiple Spritzee be evolved with a single Incense.
Once Spritzee has been fed some berries, it does not need to be on the map in order to evolve. As long as it is still your buddy and you activate the Incense in this order (and you have 50 candies), it will evolve.

If you click on the “adventure together to evolve” text on the summary page of Swirlix, you can keep track of how many treats you have given it. This will display a counter out of 25. It is also not necessary for Swirlix Pokemon Go to be present on the map in order to evolve, but if it has just been fed, it is likely that it will be present.
