Stardew Valley mod lets you live in Shrek’s swamp and in Shrek’s house – I have some wonderful news for you if you have ever played Stardew Valley and thought, “This game would be so much better with more Shrek.” You may now use a new mod to change the Sim’s Standard Farm Map into Shrek’s Swamp. You may now fulfil your fantasies of being a green ogre in the convenience of your own, probably less unpleasant, house!
On Nexus Mods, user Wandox99 created the “Shrek’s Swamp” mod. As the name implies, it merely alters the basic Farm Map to provide a fantastic recreation of Shrek’s Swamp from the old movies. A plethora of Fairy Tale creatures and a green ogre screaming for everyone to leave his swamp are the only things that are missing.

While this mod merely changes the area into the swamp from the movie, the same modder has posted a number more sets to truly immerse players in the Shrek universe in Stardew Valley. You can transform the plain farmhouse into a pixelated version of Shrek’s home after swampifying the land.

You can download the mod that changes the game’s horse into a donkey if that isn’t enough for you. That’s correct, exactly like Shrek, you can have a donkey buddy. Although unlike in the movie (I believe Eddie Murphy was too busy to contribute his abilities to the mod), this one doesn’t follow you about and provide their own commentary, it is still a nice detail to really emphasise the Shrek experience.
Interestingly, these are not the only Shrek-related Stardew Valley mods available. Someone added the option to play the first Shrek movie in the Stardew theatre earlier this year. The entire movie cannot be watched for obvious reasons, but the best scenes have been expertly combined.
