Grogu Tamagotchi : Star Wars fans have been flooded with Grogu merch since Baby Yoda made his debut in The Mandalorian. Those efforts will continue as season three approaches, and this week, official Grogu Tamagotchis have been announced by Bandai
Namco. Pre-orders are beginning soon, but there is no release date yet.
It will be possible to purchase the Grogu Tamagotchi in two different forms, and while the creature itself will be the same on both, the exterior will be slightly different on each. It will come in two versions, the regular blue version and the Using The Force edition, which will presumably be a bit more expensive. On the top there is an orange face rather than a blue one, and a silicone Grogu face is neatly positioned. The cost of each product has not been revealed, nor has the release date, though a 2023 date can be seen in the bottom corner of the promotional image.
Grogu Tamagotchi is actually Bandai Namco’s second Star Wars-themed cyberpet. The Tamagotchi follows in the footsteps of the R2-D2 Tamagotchi launched last year. In spite of the fact that the gadgets originated in the 1990s and continue to be made every so often, today’s Star Wars ones are a little more advanced than those of 25 years ago.

The way you care for your Grogu will determine what it becomes. A Baby Yoda can grow into 12 different appearances, three of which are kept under wraps and must be unlocked independently by the user. Grogus can be fed macarons and squid chowder, but if you feed too much of the latter, the squid will jump on them, so be careful.
Tamagotchis also come with two mini-games that can be played at any time, as well as other games that can be unlocked with various outcomes. It is likely that the Tamagotchis will launch around the same time as the third season of The Mandalorian, and pre-orders will begin on Amazon shortly. Recently, Disney Plus announced that Mando and Grogu will return in February 2023.
