Star Wars Eclipse New Race: Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse will introduce a new race called the Zaraan to the Star Wars universe and reportedly revolve around a political conflict.
Star Wars Eclipse was announced nearly a year ago, but little is known about it other than the fact that it is being developed by Quantic Dream and will play similarly to other Quantic Dream games, albeit with an action twist. Moreover, it is not likely to be released until 2027, reportedly as a result of people not wanting to work at Quantic Dream following years of allegations concerning its studio culture, which David Cage has denied.
Although it appears that we won’t hear anything about Eclipse anytime soon, Sacred Symbols host Colin Moriarty recently discussed some of the things he’s heard about the game on his podcast. According to VGC, Moriarty mentions several new details, including the fact that it will focus on political conflict and introduce a new race to the universe.
Moriarty mentioned during the podcast that he had seen “materials” describing the game as “Project S” and that the main character is named Sarah. According to reports, Sarah is in her 30’s and is a member of an empire called The Zaaran, which is new to the Star Wars universe.
Moriarty also mentions that Eclipse appears to be focused on a political conflict, saying, “When Zaraan marry, their nuptials carry interesting military implications as they become one governing unit that works together. This is a problem, because Sarah, a fanatical true believer in the violence and criminality regularly demonstrated by her empire, is married to a character named Xendo, who is a far softer touch. Part of the game seems to revolve around these two characters and their relationship.”
Moriarty also suggested that Eclipse is barely in production, stating, “As far as I can tell, this game has not even begun production.”. Additionally, Cage and Williams, who worked together on Detroit: Become Human, are co-writing the game.
