Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide: The final map in Sonic Frontiers includes nine Portal Stages, compared to the other islands’ seven. You’ll need to make numerous trips to Cyber Space to access all of the Chaos Emerald Vaults because you can’t obtain the Green and Teal Emeralds through Ouranos Island quests.
The Portal Stages on Ouranos Island are among the fastest, toughest, and deadliest of all, as you might anticipate from the game’s climax. To find all five Red Star Rings in each level and to reach the finish line as quickly as possible, use this instructions.
Stage 4-1 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
On a rock to the north of the Blue Emerald Vault, Stage 4-1 is located just after the island’s beginning point. There are several Purple Coins on the pedestal, which are useful for the nearby fishing location!
Red Star Rings
There are two lines of green balloons to bounce off of utilising Homing Attack just after the first checkpoint. For a shortcut and the Red Star Ring, take the left-hand path.
You will be propelled to a series of rings by the springs right before the lengthy row of yellow containers. To get to the second Red Star Ring, use Light Dash.
Ride on the grind rail to the right after the subsequent loop to obtain the third Red Star Ring.
You’ll see a spring in the corner of the ascent following the hang glider that shoots to the right. To obtain the fourth Red Star Ring, disregard it and use Light Dash on the rings above.
On the last stretch before the goal, in the middle of the track, is the fifth Red Star Ring. After you’ve been hit by the cannon blast, keep an eye out for it!
Despite being a pretty one-track stage, 4-1 offers a few options for time optimization and shortcuts.
Smash the boxes on the left to reveal a spring just after the green balloons where the Red Star Ring can be obtained. You will then be transported to a higher location from which you can use Light Dash to avoid the spikes below. Stomp as soon as Sonic releases the hang glider. You’ll reach the boosters below more quickly if you do this.
You must climb back up the tower after obtaining the fourth Red Star Ring, which lowers your position. If you already have the ring from a previous run, you can proceed directly to the cannon even if there isn’t enough time to stop you from achieving S-Rank.
Stage 4-2 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
On the shore west and marginally north of the Blue Emerald Vault is the Portal to Stage 4-2.
Red Star Rings
For the first segment, stay in the middle of the track to get the first Red Star Ring. You can utilise Light Dash to assist in catching it because it is at the end of a row of rings.
Before a significant jump, the second Red Star Ring is in the air in the tunnel.
After the first checkpoint, the third Red Star Ring is located on the right side of the rolling platforms.
By using the springs after the wide chasm defended by a tank, you can obtain the fourth Red Star Ring.
On the last spring leading to the goal, the fifth Red Star Ring is automatically gathered.
In Stage 4-2, the main route is longer than the alternate ways, therefore whenever you can, hunt for shortcuts.
Look off the track to the left just before the first segment ends for an orange boost ring over a van. This leads you to a totally different route that is faster but also more hazardous and avoids the majority of the Red Star Rings.
Look for another boost ring over a black van just after the first one for an even speedier but riskier route. This course skips most of the stage but demands a lot of accuracy to hit boosters and avoid falling!
Stage 4-3 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
Southwest of the Red Emerald Vault is where you may discover the Portal to Stage 4-3. You might have to engage in combat to get through because there are so many Guardians in the region.
Red Star Rings
A spring will launch you to a platform with multiple yellow crates at the conclusion of the first sequence. The first Red Star Ring will be seen above the middle one.
Follow the opponents up to the higher platform when you spot them to the right. At the conclusion, you can Light Dash to obtain the second Red Star Ring.
Beyond the first checkpoint, over the spike pit, is the third Red Star Ring. Take care when getting it back!
Avoid the orange boost ring in the area that follows the spike pit. Take the lower route instead, where the fourth Red Star Ring will be on your left.
After the second swing bar, the fifth Red Star Ring is automatically gathered as you bounce through the course.
No matter which path you choose in Stage 4-3, maintaining accuracy is key to earning an S-Rank time.
At the very beginning of the stage, stomp to fall to the ground more quickly and get moving.
During the initial huge jump, refrain from employing Homing Attack. Instead, use a boost to get past the adversaries and a trapeze to cross the chasm much faster. With Homing Attack, you might be able to grab a spring as you fall, avoiding a lot of track.
The final trapeze can be avoided in the same manner by boosting past it. Aim your descent to pass through the cylinder in front of you. Before the goal appears, you still need to defeat the robots at the bottom.
Stage 4-4 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
Stage 4-4 cannot be accessed until the bridge has been extended as part of Sage’s quest chain. Once you’ve done that, head northwest of the bridge to a hilltop where the Portal is located. Southwest of the Green Emerald Vault is where it is.
Red Star Rings
After the first checkpoint, there is the first Red Star Ring on the central platform.
Look for the second Red Star Ring in the centre of the rotating spike platform when you see it, but be careful acquiring it!
The best way to get to the Red Star Ring is to go under the spikes that are closest to it on the top level without jumping.
There is a lengthy rail-grinding stretch right before the second checkpoint. Stay in the middle and leap to the rainbow ring just before the rails spiral at the very end. It will propel you toward the checkpoint while allowing you to acquire the third Red Star Ring en route.

On the left platform, you can see the fourth Red Star Ring at the second set of revolving spikes.
After defeating three tanks, the fifth Red Star Ring is currently engaged in a risky jump.
Since getting the Red Star Rings on Stage 4-4 demands great accuracy and leaves little room for error, it is recommended to collect the Red Star Rings on a different run before attempting your best time.
Go through one of the rainbow rings after the initial jump. Both are a little bit quicker than the middle.
The right-hand route is probably the quicker of the two.
Keep moving forward once you arrive at the first checkpoint and leap onto the platform holding the Red Star Ring. You can even go around certain spikes because you don’t have to climb up the sides.
The remaining stage requires trial and error because there aren’t many alternative shortcuts. You’ll probably be unable to earn an S-Rank even if you die close to a checkpoint, so you’ll have to start over. Never give up and keep trying!
Stage 4-5 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
On the northeastern part of the map is the Portal to Stages 4-5. You must use Sage to expand the bridge to Stage 4-4 because it is located on the same island.
Red Star Rings
You’ll jump over the chasm once you’ve passed the first series of collapsing platforms. To locate the first Red Star Ring, look for a passage to the right and land there.
Keep to the centre of the course on the jump that follows the first checkpoint. Before you spot the second Red Star Ring on a rail in a spiked circle, you’ll fall for a while. To grab it and land on the rail, carefully boost!
Keep moving forward through the centre of the crumbling bridge, where the third Red Star Ring is located.
Soon after, you will be able to glimpse the fourth Red Star Ring from above when you bridge the abyss by bouncing off of balloons. To go forward, make sure to grab it before pressing the booster.
Allow yourself to tumble when crossing a vast chasm that includes two rings of spikes so that you can jump over the bottom ring. Before rushing over the crumbling bridge to the goal, you can obtain the last Red Star Ring.
Even though it has many obstacles and perils, Stages 4-5 almost fully follows a straight route. The S-Rank time is quite forgiving, so if you aren’t collecting Red Star Rings just stay in the centre land and go! Boost hard and keep pushing the left stick ahead!
Stage 4-6 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
The Teal Emerald Vault is located far to the northwest of the Portal to Stages 4-6. Interestingly, you’ll pass through the portal to Stages 4–8 while travelling!
Red Star Rings
Ignore the floating platforms at the beginning of the stage and take the easy route. You’ll see a yellow spring in the distance after the first track that will knock you backward. To obtain the first Red Star Ring, leap over it and move further to the right.
Depending on which path you chose, the paths will intersect either after the yellow spider adversary or the moving blocks. At this point, take the second Red Star Ring before moving on.
Following the first checkpoint, you will experience some loops. Watch the region right before the yellow spider before jumping there to grab the third Red Star Ring beyond them.
Beyond the second checkpoint, a brief freefall will occur. On the way down, grab the fourth Red Star Ring. Hugging the right-hand wall will make it simpler for you to collect because a spring will prevent your fall.
Just over the gap prior to the goal is the sixth Red Star Ring. Although gaining it will be simpler if you approach from above, you can also get it if you take the low way.
Stages 4-6 are essentially split into a long route and a short route, which infrequently cross paths. When in doubt, choose the honourable path to keep on the direct path!
In this stage, adversaries on the ground can really creep up on you, so keep an eye out for them!
After the second checkpoint, when you are falling toward the fourth Red Star Ring, steer clear of the spring and instead boost to the right when you are at the ring’s elevation. This will prevent you from choosing the longest path feasible.
Stage 4-7 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
On a small island off the west coast is the Portal to Stages 4–7. Once you have finished all of the island’s Challenges, you can bypass the big gate in front of the bridge by fast travelling straight to the Portal. Once you have obtained their scroll from the island’s fishing sites, you can also teleport to the adjacent Hermit Koco.
Red Star Rings
Aim to land on top of the tunnel beyond when using balloons to bridge a gap for the first time. There, you’ll discover the original Red Star Ring.
Look for the second Red Star Ring over the first set when you next encounter supporters. Given that the fans will swiftly lift you above the ring’s altitude, you might need to pick it up using Light Dash.
You can see the third Red Star Ring after the first fan scene if you use the floating spring to get there.
Destroy the tank after the second checkpoint to uncover a fan. You will receive a higher route of blowing. Until you can land on the blocks in front of you and see the fourth Red Star Ring to your left, stay above the fans.
The fifth Red Star Ring is on the leap past the following tank right after the fourth Red Star Ring.
Getting an S-Rank time in Stages 4–7 depends on navigating the fans. Take your time with the fans, especially if it’s difficult to determine your altitude.
Finding something you can target with Homing Attack, mainly springs or tanks, is the easiest way to get off the fans.
As you go upward around a curve following the first Red Star Ring, keep an eye out for a row of rings. This is a fantastic chance to apply Light Dash.
Look to your left for a spring after obtaining the second Red Star Ring. This leads to a zipline that takes you directly to the third Red Star Ring while skipping the trickiest fan area!
Stage 4-8 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
Northeast of the Teal Emerald Vault, in the middle of the western side of the island, is Stage 4-8.
Red Star Rings
Utilize the first two orange boost rings in the stage to go to the first Red Star Ring.
The second Red Star Ring along the main route is automatically gathered when you launch into a loop using an orange booster.
Along the main path, on a little platform immediately before the button, search for the third Red Star Ring.
Keep an eye out for the fourth Red Star Ring on your left as you descend after the third Red Star Ring.
On the last jump to the goal, the fifth Red Star Ring is automatically gathered.
You must complete Stages 4 through 8 in under 30 seconds to earn an S-Rank. The only way to accomplish this is to use a perilous shortcut that first appears on the route. Additionally, it implies that you won’t be able to get the Red Star Rings during the same run in which you earn an S-Rank.
As the opening cutscene plays, start by repeatedly pressing the attack button. This enables you to quickly grab the trapeze.
Look to the right when you are raised by the trapeze for a rainbow ring. Reach it with a double jump and boost, and it will skip the entire first section.
Rapidly press the attack button once more while in the air to hit a spring that you’ll pass in a split second.
When the spring launches you, you should land on the yellow platform to your right and ignore the foe below. This will allow you to send yourself to another shortcut while targeting a much higher enemy. Make sure to keep pressing the attack button to avoid missing any springs.
Boost forward and stomp onto the button as you reach the summit of the last ascension. With a time of roughly 25 seconds, landing in the centre of the button will transport you directly to the target!
Stage 4-9 – Ouranos Island Portal Stage Guide
On the southwest side of Ouranos Island, there is the last Portal in the game. For his final journey, Sonic skateboards! Be careful though, as many of your skills are off limits.
Red Star Rings
During the first section of the stage, stay to the left side of the track. On the other side of some cars that you must jump over is the first Red Star Ring.
The second Red Star Ring is located exactly in the middle, before the last ramp, at the conclusion of the following section of road.
The third Red Star Ring may be found to the right in the region with retracting platforms as you ascend after getting off the skateboard.
Watch for a big ramp in the middle of the course as you get back on your skateboard. Due to the numerous steep curves, it can be challenging to see in time, yet it leads to the fourth Red Star Ring.

Right before the goal, in the track’s middle, is the fifth Red Star Ring.
Your pace is largely constrained by the skateboard during Stages 4–9. The only way to achieve an S-Rank time is to go fast during the climbing section. Most of the rings, including the Red Star Ring, can be collected while climbing, but if you fall more than once, you’ll likely need to start over.
