Pokemon New Milestone– The Pokemon Company has released a new video to honor the franchise’s passing the 1,000-Pokemon milestone. The movie, which was published earlier today on YouTube and other media, didn’t contain any announcements but was instead a lighthearted celebration of all the Pokemon in the franchise, with a special focus on the new Pokemon that made their appearance in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The 1,000th Pokemon in the franchise is appropriately Gheldengo, the evolution of Gimmighoul that costs 999 coins to complete. It appeared for a while that The Pokemon Company was trying to purposefully stall the inevitable march toward 1,000 Pokemon (Pokemon New Milestone). The Pokemon Company has not yet said what will happen to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet after the much anticipated second patch, which will presumably fix some of the game’s numerous flaws.
Since there are still areas of Paldea to explore and hints of additional information on the enigmatic Area Zero and the Pokemon responsible for the Terastal event, it is anticipated that DLC will be released for the games at some point this year.
