Pokemon GO Elite Raids: In Pokemon Go Raids, you and other Trainers are required to assemble teams of top-tier Pokemon to defeat powerful Raid Bosses. In one of Pokemon Go’s recent updates, Elite Raids have been added to the game, taking this to the next level.

What Is An Elite Raid In Pokemon Go?

In addition to the previously mentioned Raid tier, this is the most challenging PvE experience available in the game to date. You will need to team up with other Trainers to battle and defeat a powerful Boss Pokemon, which will earn you various in-game items, XP, and an encounter with the Raid Pokemon.
A 24-hour countdown will appear in various Pokemon Go Gyms prior to the beginning of Elite Raids. Players will only have a 30-minute window to enter and complete this new type of raid once the countdown has expired.

Battling In An Elite Raid In Pokemon Go
In contrast to other types of raids in the game, Elite Raids are strictly local encounters, which means players cannot use Remote Raid Passes to participate remotely. To successfully complete Elite Raids, you will need to team up with other players in person, making it impossible to accomplish when playing alone.
You will also want to create a team of six top-tier Pokemon that are specifically designed to counter Raid Pokemon. The new local-only restriction may make it difficult to find a large group to raid with for Elite Raids.

Players who successfully complete an Elite Raid will receive a unique bonus in addition to the standard Raid rewards. You may encounter rare Pokemon spawns within a 50-meter radius of the Pokemon Gym where the Raid took place for a short period of time.
