Field Research Tasks
In the Field Research Menu, you will find that there are specific objectives for you to meet. If you do not have any tasks to work on, you can spin a PokeStop to obtain them. You can claim the reward displayed on the left-hand side of each task once you have completed the task.
At any given time, you will be able to handle at least three of these tasks. It is possible to have an additional few tasks; for example, event tasks and AR scanning tasks can be added to the three base tasks.

It is possible to get rid of a task that you do not wish to complete – for instance, if you do not go walking very often or if you do not wish to wait to hatch 5 eggs. You can do this by tapping on the top-right corner of the task and clicking the very faint garbage can icon that you might not notice otherwise.
Niantic is constantly adding new tasks to the game, so you may acquire a variety of tasks.
It is possible that you will encounter tasks that involve catching Pokemon somehow, such as:

Field Research Progress
When you complete a Field Research Task for the first time each day, you will earn a stamp above the task. It is not necessary to catch Pokemon and spin PokeStops for seven days straight without fail as in the “Streaks” of catching Pokemon and spinning PokeStops. It would still be beneficial to do so seven times over the course of two weeks, a month, or a year.
TIP: A task will not disappear unless you tell it to! Since you can only earn one stamp per day, research tasks after the first can only give you item rewards. This means if you complete more than one research task in a day, you can simply choose not to tap on it and choose “Claim Reward!”. In this case, you will not have to complete a task every day if you save the points and claim them in subsequent days.

Field Research Breakthroughs In Pokemon Go
Upon earning seven stamps, you will reach the last circle with a package tied with string – the Research Breakthrough.
Field Research Breakthrough rewards are subject to change every month, so it is impossible to predict which rewards you will receive. It is important to note, however, that you will always receive 2,000 Stardust and 3,000 XP.
In addition, you are guaranteed some items (often Pokeballs, Pinap Berries, Rare Candies, and Evolution Stones, but this varies each month) and an encounter with a predetermined Pokemon. There are some months when Pokemon are more interesting than others:
