PlayStation Plus Easter Egg Challenge : As long as video games have existed, Easter eggs have been a part of them. Although they are not limited to games alone, they do not have to be. PlayStation has created a video packed with them, and if you are able to find them all, you will receive a free set of avatars to use on your PlayStation Network profile.

The video appears to be a trailer that PlayStation made a while ago, but it is unclear how long it has been used to give away avatars. By sharing the link to the PlayStation page via Reddit, Battlehead revealed that they had discovered 15 of the 18 Easter eggs and had unlocked four of the five avatars. Several people responded to the post on Reddit claiming to have found all 18 Easter eggs. People seem to believe that different people are receiving different avatars, but this does not appear to be the case, so there is no need to redo the task after you have found all 18. When the video begins playing, you will need to click on Easter eggs as they appear on the screen. If you find one, a tick will appear and you will be asked a question.

There will be no right or wrong answer to this question. This is simply PlayStation asking you about the Easter egg you found and how it may relate to what you plan to play next. In PSN, avatars serve as your profile pictures, so if you have one that can only be obtained by finding Easter eggs in a relatively unknown challenge, your friends may well take notice.

A new avatar is not the only thing you can unlock through PlayStation right now. Today, it launches its new rewards program, Stars, in North America. By completing challenges, players can earn reward points and digital collectibles. Playing a game will earn you some rewards, while platinuming a particular game in your region will earn you even rarer rewards.
