Payday 3 Confirms 2023 Release in New Teaser Trailer – Now that 2023 has arrived, fans are anticipating the wide range of titles that will be available throughout the coming year. One such game is Payday 3, and its creator Starbreeze Studios has just published a very brief teaser trailer to make quite sure you all remember it’s coming out later this year.
Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t provide us with any new information about the game itself after being first shared to the official Payday Twitter account. The trailer opens with an expansive view of a metropolis at night before moving back slowly to reveal four men standing in the shadows. You already know that these four people are undoubtedly up to no good if you’ve ever played Payday.

Then a dark screen appears with the words “This is the year of Payday 3” slowly fading in, indicating that the game’s creator is very certain that the anticipated release date will be met. Although it has officially been confirmed the game will debut on both PC and consoles, and that it is now available to wishlist on Steam, a more precise release date was sadly not provided. In the upcoming months, a more specific date can probably be anticipated.

With the exception of any unforeseen delays, Starbreeze has really done a pretty good job of getting Payday 3 to release during the anticipated 2023 window. Without taking the pandemic into account, the developer has had a difficult couple of years, with layoffs and the resignation of its former CEO in 2020. With Plaion on board to assist with the release of Payday 3, the developer is thankfully in a much better position now.
