In Korea, an unknown & new Silent Hill game appears to have been rated

new Silent Hill game : According to a Korean rating, there will be a new Silent Hill game called The Short Message.

A rating has been assigned to Silent Hill: The Short Message by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea (via Gematsu). As of yet, it is not known what this new game will be, or even what platforms it will be available on. There has been speculation that the title could be indicative of a playable teaser, similar to PT, the previous mainline Silent Hill game.

It was revealed that the publisher was UNIANA, which published Konami’s recent free-to-play soccer fiasco, eFootball 2023. There is no information on whether The Short Message will be a new Silent Hill installment, a teaser, a spin-off, or a mobile game. It may even be the creation of a new Silent Hill arcade experience, considering UNIANA’s production of arcade cabinets.

Silent Hill was originally released for the PS One in 1999, and it tells the story of Harry Mason, a man searching for his missing adopted daughter in the titular fictional American town. In the years that followed, numerous sequels and spin-offs have been produced based on the survival horror film.

It has been approximately ten years since the last full-length game was released, and fans are eager for more. Unfortunately, P.T. was the last time we saw anything official, all the way back in 2014 – the legendary teaser for the since-cancelled Silent Hills by Hideo Kojima.

As a result of a number of leaks and rumours, it appears that multiple new Silent Hill games may be in development. It is unclear whether Silent Hill: The Short Message is connected to these leaks. As of now, we must wait and see, but fans of Silent Hill may be pleased with the news.

In total, there are eight mainline games in the Silent Hill series, starting with Silent Hill in 1999 and ending with Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012. I hope you liked our “Silent Hill: The Short Message Rated In Korea, Leaked Screenshot Shows SMS Based Gameplay”
