Gaming features a large number of creative visionaries, just like any other kind of media. These game developers, from Ed Boon to Hidetaka Miyazaki, have immortalized themselves in video games through their works. Hideo Kojima is without a doubt the most well-known game creator and, in this sense, the Cristopher Nolan of gaming.

Kojima has a rule for his new studio
The demo PT and Metal Gear Solid were two classic games created by the Japanese game creator. He is carrying on this tradition with successes like Death Stranding by founding his Kojima Productions firm. Fans don’t like it, but Kojima has a rule for his new studio: He won’t produce games based on other people’s intellectual properties; only his own.
Hideo recently spoke with IGN and discussed this new development. The founder of Kojima Productions conducted a tour of his brand-new facility and discussed starting phase 2 of the facility. But this particular piece from the interview was among its more intriguing parts.

Kojima discussed this element when the interviewer questioned him about the studio’s ongoing initiatives. Currently, Kojima Productions is developing an Xbox game as well as Death Stranding 2. The developer then dropped the bomb, saying, “We’re going to maintain the stance of making our own IP and not working on IP licenced from others.” in the middle of his confirmatory response.
He does provide an explanation for why this is the case before he says this. He claims that he has no plans to expand the business into a sizable, powerful developing studio. The Meta Gear Solid designer only wants to create enjoyable video games and leave a lasting impression. “I don’t have some goal of steadily growing the company,” he claims, adding that Kojima Production isn’t listed on the stock exchange.
Hideo Kojima therefore only wants to work in his own world and execute his ideas. While working on existing IPs for gaming behemoths like Sony and Microsoft does pay well, it also causes unneeded stress. You may certainly blame the Silent Hill fiasco and the fact that his business is a private studio rather than a publicly traded one for this.
In the same response, he did mention a few of his planned endeavours. We cannot contest his choice to maintain a low profile while creating fascinating games based on the way he talks about them. In accordance with the interview, he is now working on two games. “In addition to DS2, we’re making another unique title,” he said. Therefore, Hideo Kojima is developing a game for Microsoft, the direct opponent of Death Stranding publisher. But unlike the studio’s debut project, it will be a Kojima-created in-house IP rather than an Xbox third-party game.

Kojima will thus collaborate with major studios, but only under his terms and after giving his concepts life.
This is undoubtedly a major disappointment for devoted Hideo Kojima fans. He has long been requested by fans to create new Silent Hill and a Metal Gear Solid sequel. But because Konami owns those intellectual properties, this is a third-party endeavor.
This interview suggests that Kojima Productions won’t be working on them in the future. There is, however, much to be happy about because the company has some other incredible projects in the works. In this interview, Kojima discussed a few upcoming visual productions from the company. That’s the mindset I’m adopting when I create video games and consider undertaking other visual projects, added Kojima.
The Death Stranding movie, which is ostensibly taking a different turn, is already well known. The plural, however, brings us that much closer to development. Knowing Hideo Kojima and his works, the wait will be worthwhile for these endeavors.

Therefore, despite the fact that the no-third-party-IP regulation is disappointing, Kojima Productions has a promising future. This is how things will continue unless the creator has a change of heart. Hopefully, something will change in the near future, whether it happens quickly or gradually.
