Guilty Gear Strive Hacked – Hackers Ruin Competitive Fighting Game with Exploit Causing Instant Crashes – The worst are definitely hackers. The lowest of the low, the filth of the earth, who occasionally employ exploits that will destroy the experience for a whole lobby of players in addition to using unlawful methods to be good at a game. Hackers that use exploits like aimbots and wallhacks frequently target competitive first-person shooter games, and they manage to break through any security measures put in place by the developers. However, Guilty Gear Strive, a fighting game, is one of the most recent targets of a hacker avalanche.
A recently found exploit that hackers can use to make your game crash quickly is the single largest problem with the game. According to Vice, the attack includes a hacker discovering a means to modify a player’s name remotely, which leads to the player’s game crashing. The exploit involves leveraging a player’s individual ID, or R-Code as the game refers to it, which shows your data and stats. Since this flaw has come to light, it is being utilised to target streamers and crash their games while they are live-streaming.

The exploit now seems to have changed and looks to be affecting practically all types of online play. Hotashi, a pro at Guilty Gear Strive, tweeted that whomever was utilising the r-code exploit might now use it to make the GGST client have a leak, which would make the game unplayablely slow down. This happens even in training mode, but not when using Steam offline.
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS OGL 1.1 LEAKED COULD CHANGE THE WAY WE PLAY AND CREATE CONTENT
whoever is using this r-code exploit can now use this vulnerability to cause the GGST client to have some sort of leak, slowing the game to an unplayable crawl
this occurs even in training mode, and doesnt happen with steam in offline mode

The exploit has come to light just in time for an upcoming ArcSystemworks Guilty Gear Strive event with a $200,000 prize pool. The unpleasant part is that this exploit will make it difficult for players to prepare for a series of online events where they must do well in order to advance.
