Where To Find All The Chests In God Of War Ragnarok’s The Upper Wildwoods – Unmistakably, the purpose of God of War Ragnarok’s introduction is to show you how to play the game. There aren’t many “true” secrets in it, making it one of the game’s most linear sections. It does, however, occasionally conceal a few Hacksilver chests in obscure crevices. In addition, despite being the introduction, it still ends with not one but two boss battles!
Both the first boss and the second boss will unleash their full force and come down on you. And what about that? You could discover that neither is especially simple. This guide will ensure that you succeed in both difficult boss fights and will point out any missable stashes of Hacksilver.
Survive Fimbulwinter – The Upper Wildwoods Walkthrough
Your voyage will start with a sorrowful moment back home and an energising surge through the woodland. You’ll soon be searching for Atreus, your son, on a mission. First things first, this is a God of War game, therefore immediately after beginning the path, you will engage in combat with several Raiders. Simply deflect their predictable attacks because they are your most fundamental adversaries, and keep them from getting close to you. After you have eliminated them, continue on the trail. The enormous, dead bear will be close to a healthstone.
You will encounter a chasm that your axe must use to cut through a downed tree. Take a right, however, before you do that. There is some Hacksilver in this treasure chest. A corpse carrying a pouch of Hacksilver comes next, followed by a fork in the road not far behind them. Another chest of Hacksilver is on the left, and the main road is on the right (as indicated by the trail of blood). After passing through a tiny cavern, you will emerge onto a sizable clearing where several different raiders are waiting for you. As you leave the cavern, proceed along the right-most boundary wall. By a corpse, you can locate some Hacksilver.

There will be hundreds of corpses with valuables laying in front of them as you travel. These awards usually always only consist of a modest amount of Hacksilver, but over time, the Hacksilver will pile up.
You will come upon your first Raider Scout up ahead. These adversaries are agile, rangy, and soft. They should be dead after being struck in the head with the axe. You will ascend after disposing of the invaders and take some Forged Iron from the chest. More Hacksilver can be found inside a chest and on a corpse as you enter the cave. You’ll descend and kill a few Raiders. When you do, make sure to visit their last resting place. Hacksilver and a few Healingstones are scattered about.
The lone tunnel in the cave should be continued. More raiders will come at you; some of them will have slings. Between mauling their companions who prefer melee combat, kill them with an axe throw. You will reach a gap with a treasure chest on the other side after ascending. Grab the Hacksilver and Forged Iron from within by hopping over.
You can definitely parry the slingshot shots! By doing this, you will not only send out a shockwave that will drive adversaries away from you, but you will also turn the projectile directly back toward your long-range attacker.
If you keep moving forward, you will eventually reach a clearing and run into Bjorn, your first boss.
GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK: COMBAT TIPS AND ENEMIES REACTIONS
Boss Battle: Bjorn – Where To Find All The Chests In God Of War Ragnarok’s The Upper Wildwoods
The most crucial lesson Bjorn imparts to you is that while red assaults cannot be parried, yellow attacks may. A huge circle that forms around Bjorn serves as a warning sign for these attacks. The enlargement of this circle denotes the timing of the attack. All of Bjorn’s strikes at the start of the battle are very predictable. He will make a couple blockable swipes at you before reversing onto his hind legs and falling to the ground. This is an onslaught that cannot be stopped in any way (once again, for emphasis, as denoted by the red circle).
You will be knocked back if you block an attack with the yellow indicator, but all damage will be avoided. You will always become momentarily disoriented as a result of this. In order to avoid being followed up on, press the dodge button when you find yourself in this precarious situation.
You will have time to add your own light axe swing in between each swipe if you parry the attacks. You should stand back and throw the axe at Bjorn as he rears up for his unstoppable assault, then grab it as it ricochets off his head and into the air. Bjorn is poised to charge you if he is on all fours when the invincible attack indication shows. Prepare to sidestep and avoid contact.
Bjorn will begin to finish his swipe attack combo with an unblockable attack as the fight goes on. As his health bar gets lower, the combo will also lengthen. This won’t be a problem after you get into the pattern of parry, axe swing, parry, etc. If you parry when Bjorn’s combo strike is coming at you and decide to block instead, you won’t have enough time to parry any more attacks. Just hold off the inevitable unstoppable last strike and get ready to roll.

He will begin stringing together his unblockable attacks in his final stage, frequently performing the ground slam several times before concluding with his charge attack. However, Bjorn still telegraphs everything, so just gain some distance and get ready to avoid the charge. After defeating Bjorn, Atreus will be waiting for you. On the way back to your house, you’ll take a significantly shorter route. Simply stay on the route, defeat the invaders, and you will return to your home. Time to get some well-deserved sleep.
“Now have a proper rest, my brothers. Things are always brighter in the morning” – Mimir
Just kidding, a God of War never rests. A new cutscene will now play, and your second boss will appear!
Boss Battle: Thor – The Upper Wildwoods Walkthrough

Right away, Thor possesses two assaults that cannot be blocked. In the other, he charges forward and grabs you; the first is a close-range grab. When you see red, get away immediately because the close-up grab can happen quite soon. Fortunately, it has a somewhat limited range. It is considerably simpler to avoid the charging grab because it is rather obvious when it is coming. Thor will continue to punch you after that. Simply parry them and punish as necessary.
PATCH NOTES 2.04 FOR GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK
You have two choices if he winds up for a huge swing: parry it or roll to the side. If you parry the large swing, you’ll get the chance to punish Thor with a powerful assault of your own; however, if you don’t time your parry and block the punch, the powerful blow will knock you out and he’ll follow it up with a massive kick (this is unavoidable). So the dash isn’t a terrible alternative if you’re not feeling sure in your parry time.
Defending against Thor’s Sonic Slap Attack in God of War Ragnarok
Last but not least, by slamming his hands together, Thor has the power to unleash a massive shockwave. Avoiding his thunderclap is ideal. When he does that, just strafe around him because rolling away won’t help you.
