The Lower Wildwoods Walkthrough – You probably feel a little exhausted after your recent battle with the God of Thunder. However, God of War Ragnarok does not allow for any downtime! You must now venture into the Lower Wildwoods to discover what Atreus has discovered. The lower Wildwoods have more hidden treasures than the Upper Wildwoods do.
Additionally, this marks the beginning of the game’s foray into simple puzzles. And to top it all off, you’ll run into another boss. We’ll guide you through this cold wasteland and show out all the goodies you can’t afford to miss. Naturally, we’ll assist you in defeating any four-legged monsters you run into while visiting the Lower Wildwoods.
Survive Fimbulwinter- The Lower Wildwoods Walkthrough
You will swiftly be on the route to the temple Atreus wants to show you after you leave the comfort of your home and stroke your wolves on the head. Continue up the path until you come to a tall wall, which Kratos will scale using his Blades of Chaos. After ascending, to your left will be a chest with Hacksilver. You can drop down a ledge on your left after using your blades to shatter the door. Down there, there is some Hacksilver. Return to the main road by hopping up. A raider will be standing in a cave when you see them, but before you can approach them, you will observe them being hauled away by a chain. Not a good omen.
You should locate a chest covered in brambles if you move in the direction the chain came from (to your left). Burn the brambles with your blades to obtain more Hacksilver. Return there and use the opposite route from where you saw the Raider taken. Hel-Raiders must be defeated, but fear not—they aren’t all that much more difficult than regular Raiders. The main pathway will take you to a small cavern after you defeat the Hel-Raiders. Continue travelling along the path and squeeze through the crack in the stone wall. One of Odin’s wells will be on your right. Which simply means that a bucket is suspended over a large pit.
The bucket will fall if the target over it is hit. After that, descend and seize the Shattered Rune. Additionally, a chest of Hacksilver is located here. Climb back up and enter the cave on all fours. Here, you will eliminate a couple more Raiders. When you emerge from the cave, a large pillar will obstruct your way. The pillar can be moved using your Blades of Chaos. The primary route will lead you upstairs, but before you ascend to the level above you, drop to the ground and retrieve the Hacksilver from the body there. You must take hold of the pillar you just moved with your blades once you are up above and bring it back to its original position (creating a platform to jump on).
The chain up here must be pulled in order to draw the rope to your right taut. Until you destroy the ring holding the rope to the rocks below it, it won’t move. Pull the chain after you use your axe to smash that ring. The rope can now be slipped down.
After you land, you will battle a number of Raiders. You have faced the largest group of them to this point. There are some dead trees that you can use to launch a massive assault from. Prepare to avoid the Raiders with slings who are hurling projectiles at you from the other side of the abyss.
Remember that you have the ability to parry projectiles so that they are directed back at your enemies.
There are more brambles to burn close to where you fell. Pass through the small opening and engage a few more Hel-Raiders in combat. Here is where you will face off against a Hel-Raider Scout. She has a missile that is dependent on her scream, although you can simply block it.
Your first piece of lore text will now be written on the wall (it is glowing, so it is pretty hard to miss). A Hel-Raider Scout must be defeated, so descend below and take the Hacksilver from the chest. Return to Atreus and scale the ice wall. You will battle additional Hel-Raiders after you reach the top. The Huntress will harshly stop you as you attempt to climb the next ice wall.
The Huntress – Where To Find All The Chests In God Of War Ragnarok’s The Lower Wildwoods
The Huntress is a kind of mid-boss. You won’t be able to utilise your shield during this battle, therefore you won’t be able to block or deflect her arrows. Your primary objective is to hit her horns while they are glowing so that you can attack her when she is down. There are four main attacks for the Huntress.
She will kick you with her front legs if you approach her too closely. She will launch a barrage of arrows at you from a distance that will explode as soon as they touch the ground. You should roll away from the arrows instead of toward them. She also uses exploding arrows to cover the ground in the other strike. This isn’t one of her more powerful moves, and there will be plenty of time to get away from them. Finally, she fires a planned rhythmic four-shot combo with her bow. Thus, if you repeatedly press the dodge button, you will take a few arrows to the body. As soon as you hear her release the arrow, try to dodge.
The attack that is most likely to cause you trouble will be her salvo of arrows. When she releases the arrows, only then should you begin to roll away. You’ll be playing a lot of stay away during this fight as you wait for her horns to begin glowing before tagging them with an axe throw. Remember that if you can stop her from moving, she will become much less dangerous because of how much slower she will move. With the Blades of Chaos, you can be more aggressive, but you’ll need to be very aware of your attack range since if you come too near, a horse’s hoof could strike you in the face and there won’t be a shield to protect you.
Entering The Temple – The Lower Wildwoods Walkthrough
After you kill The Huntress, get the crafting material and put runes on your axe. Take the left turn, climb the wall, and get the lore scroll. Now proceed with Atreus into the temple. Here is a different well of Odin’s. Jump down to grab the Hacksilver after hitting the target above the bucket. Right after entering the courtyard, look for a small gap in the wall. Crawl inside to retrieve the chest’s Hacksilver and Forged Iron.
In the courtyard, a second chest is positioned on a platform above. Climb higher to obtain more Hacksilver. The pillar must be pulled to the side after you reach the bridge, but you won’t be able to do so at first. By using your axe to cut the tree directly in front of you in two, you must remove the pillar (it is pinning the pillar down). Once you’ve done that, you can use your Blades of Chaos to yank the pillar to the side.
Lift the gate and take the crafting supplies out of the chest on the way back home. You will come to a big, broken stone slab. You can crash through it to access a different chest if you get to the level above it and look down on it.
After that, turn around and kill the Raiders by kicking the chain down. You will battle the Raider Chief, who is both incredibly tough and incredibly slow. Therefore, if you just step back and whip him with your blades, you can finish him out very quickly. The only thing left to do is return home. There will be a waiting old friend!
