Upgrading The Leviathan Axe – All Weapon Upgrade Material Locations in God of War Ragnarok
One of your main weapons that you have access to right away is the Leviathan Axe. The weapon must be upgraded using the crafting resource Frozen Flame. You can level up your axe to nine with one of the game’s eight Frozen Flames. The majority of the Flames are acquired during the narrative because they cannot be missed. To get some items, though, you’ll need to complete side quests, take on bosses, or explore the nine realms.
Frozen Flame #1

Frozen Flame #6
You must fulfil two Favors for this Frozen Flame. You can begin the “Scent of Survival” Favor as you advance in the game. The subsequent favour, “For Vanaheim!” will automatically begin after you finish this one. You will encounter The Crimson Dread dragon toward the finish of the mission. You will receive the sixth Frozen Flame once the dragon has been slain.
Frozen Flame #7
Alfheim in The Barrens is the location of the seventh Frozen Flame. You will liberate Hafgufa and put an end to the sandstorm in the region after completing the “Secret of the Sands” Favor. The Berserker Gravestone will then respond to your actions. This will lead to conflict with Sisters of Illska and Svipdagr the Cold. Frozen Flame #8
You can begin the Favor “Hel to Pay” after completing the main story mission, “Reunion.” To receive this favor, you must sever the numerous Hel Tears that have appeared throughout the nine realms. You will receive a Frozen Spark for sealing each Hel Tear. You will receive six Frozen Sparks, which when combined to form a Frozen Flame, after sealing the six Hel Tears.
Upgrading The Blades Of Chaos – All Weapon Upgrade Material Locations in God of War Ragnarok
Another one of the main weapons you have from the beginning of the game is Blades of Chaos. The weapon must be upgraded with the Chaos Flame, a crafting component. You can level up your Blades to nineth level by using one of the eight Chaos Flames in the game.
Chaos Flame #1
The primary story mission, “The Quest for Tyr,” takes place in Svartalfheim and features the first Chaos Flame. On your way to Applecore, you will encounter Dreki. When you defeat it, you will receive the Chaos Flame.
Chaos Flame #2
When playing the main story mission “The Reckoning,” the second Chaos Flame is found in Vanaheim. You’ll run into the boss known as the Forest Ancient. You will receive your second Chaos Flame if you defeat it.
Chaos Flame #3
During the main story mission “The World of Fate,” the third Chaos Flame can be found in the Well of Urd of Midgard. You must deal with the Frost Phantom here. You can take the Choas Flame from the ground after you defeat it.
Chaos Flame #4
In Vanaheim’s Freyr’s Camp during the main story mission “Creatures of Prophecy,” there is a Chaos Flame that can be found there. You’ll encounter two Drekis. You must defeat them both in order to obtain the Chaos Flame.
Chaos Flame #5
The fifth Chaos Flame can be found during the main story mission “The Summoning” in Sutr’s Forge in Muspelheim. There are two Soul Eaters that you will encounter during this mission. Get the Chaos Flame by defeating both of them.
Chaos Flame #6
You must first locate the first two Muspelheim Seeds in order to obtain the sixth Choas Flame. “The Crucible” Favor will begin once you have the first Seed. At Modvitnir’s Rig in Svartalfheim, a Legendary Chest holds the first Seed. In Alberich Hollow, there is a second Legendary Chest containing the second Seed. Travel to Muspelheim and complete the Crucible Challenges after obtaining both seeds. You’ll receive the Chaos Flame once the challenges are finished.
Chaos Flame #7
The Sinkholes in Vanaheim are where you can find the seventh Chaos Flame. There is a Berserker Gravestone in the vicinity. To begin the battle with Haklangr the Bearded, interact with it. Get the Chaos Flame if you defeat him.
Chaos Flame #8
You must gather the Chaos Sparks for the final Chaos Flame rather than the Flame itself. The Hateful, which are dispersed throughout the nine realms, are the source of these Chaos Sparks. After eliminating all six Hateful, you will receive all six Chaos Sparks, which together will create a single Chaos Flame.
Upgrading The Draupnir Spear – All Weapon Upgrade Material Locations in God of War Ragnarok
Kratos uses the Draupnir Spear as a long-range weapon. During the main story mission “Forging Destiny,” you obtain it. The Gale Flame is required to upgrade the weapon. Four Gale Flames will maximise your Spear.

You must proceed to the celestial altar after finishing the Favor “Scent of Survival.” Set the time to night and begin The Crater of Vanaheim’s “Nocturnal Predator” Favor. You will encounter a Flame Phantom as you advance through the Favor. You’ll receive your second Gale Flame if you defeat it.
Gale Flame #3
Visit Jarnsmida Pitmines in Svartalfheim and interact with the Berserker Gravestone there to obtain the third Gale Flame. This will start the conflict with Starolfr the Troublemaker and Bodvar the Fierce. You will win the Gale Flame after the battle is over.

Gale Flame #4
When you complete “The Reckoning,” the primary plot task, make your way to Sindri’s House and speak with Ratatoskr there. The Favor “The Lost Lindwyrms” and the trap necessary to retrieve all six Lindwyrms will be given to you by him. The nine kingdoms are surrounded by the Lindwyrms. Get a Gale Spark if you find one. To fully enhance your weapon, collect six Gale Sparks and turn them into Gale Flames.
Upgrading The Thrungva – All Weapon Upgrade Material Locations in God of War Ragnarok
The main weapon Freya employs is the Thrungva. It needs the Folkvangr Whetstone to be upgraded. The upgrades require two Folkvangr Whetstone.
