Get a Sneak Peek of Bella Ramsey as Ellie in The Last of Us Part 2 Mod – The Last of Us adaptation week has officially begun. Fans of The Last of Us will get their finest look yet at Bella Ramsey as Ellie when the show premieres on Sunday. In The Last Of Us Part 2, modders have modified Ramsey to make it appear as if the Game Of Thrones actress had been Ellie from the beginning.

The mod, which was made by Alejandro Bielsa (thanks, Eurogamer), also known as Vontadeh in the community of modders, essentially transforms Ellie from Part 2 into Ramsey. The mod can be seen in action below thanks to Speclizer, but before you watch it, be aware that it contains some serious spoilers because it was made for The Last Of Us Part 2.

HBO’S THE LAST OF US: THE SHOCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SHOW AND THE GAME

It makes sense that Ramsey’s likeness would be added to the sequel, even if the first season of the programme would reportedly follow the events of the first game. Not only is there speculation of Part 2 being correctly adapted for Season 2, but Ellie in the sequel is also closer to Ramsey’s true age. In the second Last Of Us game, Ellie is 19, making her the same age as Ramsey at the time.

Even though the mod was made with great care, Bielsa acknowledges that it isn’t flawless. It works best when Ellie isn’t being particularly expressive at certain portions of the game. When Ellie made expressions and the old character model could be seen through, it was difficult to transform the character into Ramsey. When that’s not the case, though, it’s clear how skillfully the Ramsey skin was placed.

It’s funny that modders would do this because Ramsey detailed how she thinks the character was already in her when she talked about how she became Ellie in the show, despite being advised not to play the games. Ellie serves as a substitute skin for her. Recently, several of the modders who worked on the aforementioned project also transformed Joel and Ellie into Kratos and Atreus. Until you’ve seen the God of War playing guitar while wearing a buttoned-up shirt, you really don’t know him.
