Stephanie Economou must have felt just that when she received the 65th Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media for the score of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok.

Along with Richard Jacques for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Austin Wintory for Aliens: Fireteam, Bear McCreary for Call of Duty: Vanguard, and Christopher Tin for Old World, Economou was nominated for the award. The Grammys have never before included a category for video games, which makes this victory all the more noteworthy.

Unfortunately, the presenter, comedian Randy Rainbow, couldn’t exactly pronounce the game’s name despite it earning such a prestigious – and first – prize. Because Assassin’s Creed “Vallaha” won the award, Rainbow, who was also up for best comedy album that night, may have been a little apprehensive or simply not a big admirer of Norse mythology. Despite the fact that any one of us could have made that mistake, it’s still rather amusing.

“I was thrilled to be able to do it, but truly I am—as the people in our videogame community would say, such a noob when it comes to video game scoring,” said Economou about the win, in a conversation with Billboard (thanks, PC Gamer). “It’s tough to be nominated against these literal giants in video game music. I’m so honoured to be in their company, but also there’s a bit of like, do I belong here? And I think most artists sort of feel that to some extent, but I’m really honoured and I’m really proud of the score.”

Regarding the music, Dawn of Ragnarok makes a drastic departure from Eivor’s adventures in the time of the Vikings in England and instead centres on Havi, also known as Odin, travelling across the nine Norse realms. Hard-hitting black metal music was chosen by Economou, while Gorgoroth drummer Einar Selvik provided the vocals.
