Finally, FromSoftware has acknowledged that Elden Ring will receive Colosseum-Themed DLC, and it will be available tomorrow for no additional cost.
All about Colosseum-Themed DLC in Elden Ring
Back in March, data miners discovered an unutilized colosseum in the game’s files that many thought would be used in a future DLC. And sure enough, they were correct. The one-minute teaser, which was recently released by FromSoftware, begins with Tarnished making the arduous journey over the Lands Between that many of us have ourselves taken. Once they arrive at the enormous gates, they push them open to unveil the DLC.
As it says, “Battle for glory in new PvP modes,” it appears to be a DLC with a PvP focus. Similar to Dark Souls, other FromSoftware games have PvP arenas where players may engage in online combat with real people to gain special equipment and covenant benefits. It was a part of Dark Souls 2, but just with Elden Ring, its arenas were only available as DLC for the first and third games.
Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum.
The fight arena is exactly what you would anticipate from a colosseum conflict, as you can see in the trailer. In contrast to a traditional colosseum, there aren’t any spectators cheering you on or placing bets on your success when you and another player are forced to battle to the death in a huge circular room. It’s a wholly alone affair, which is bereft and fitting for Elden Ring, huh?
Additionally, players have been observed utilising Spirit Ashes to summon bosses like the Mad Pumpkin Head to engage in combat with their opponents, giving the conflict a PvE flavour. But there is more than just lone combat; in 3v3 battles, we also witness teams squaring off against one another.
It is uncertain whether Elden Ring will ever receive DLC for PvE solo players. You can practise your gladiatorial fighting skills in the interim.
