EastEnders’ Aidan O’Callaghan (Lewis Butler) looks unrecognisable in The Witcher: Blood Origin – Aidan O’Callaghan, an EastEnders actor, released a stunning video of himself applying makeup for his part in The Witcher: Blood Origin on Netflix.

The actor, who played Lewis Butler on Albert Square, shared the video of himself alongside the caption: “My morning routine,” and the cheeky hashtag ‘elfulencer’.

Aidan, who portrays Kareg in the fantasy series, is shown in the video with his hair covered in a bald cap before having a mask made for him by makeup specialists.

Aidan did acknowledge in the post’s comments that the entire procedure took about two hours even though the time lapse video is only a few seconds long.

The Witcher: Blood Origin chronicles the birth of the first Witcher and is set 1,200 years before the main Netflix series’ events.

Sophia Brown, Michelle Yeoh, Nathaniel Curtis, Francesca Mills, Lenny Henry, and Minnie Driver are among the cast members.

Aidan previously discussed with Digital Spy what he would have altered about his Eastenders character tale.

Aidan said: “I was [aware of the backlash]. I remember I was so delighted at the initial reaction, because that is what you want: you want authenticity and diversity, and for people to say Lewis is great and fun.

“I was delighted and I was initially disappointed that the spoilers for this story came out so soon as I wanted to bring them on Lewis’s journey for longer. I had to make people like Lewis initially.

“If I could have a magic wand, I would have wanted that to have stretched out a bit further, but, in the same breath it has been fascinating to play that arc so quick and bring everyone on that rollercoaster.”
