Operation: Archimedes Guide, Defeat Sumok, Ravager of Torobatl – For Destiny 2’s Season of the Seraph storyline, a new set of quest steps will become available every week, building up to a new Operation assignment every Sunday. Operations are condensed versions of Heist Battlegrounds that include some stealth and a boss battle at the end. To advance the seasonal plot and associated Triumphs, complete the quest.
The first Operation task of this season, Operation: Archimedes, will probably be the simplest because it only requires you to get past Seraph towers in order to enter a bunker. Place Arc charges within the Seraph Bunker, then defeat the Ogre boss inside. You can follow the instructions in this brief tutorial to finish this job as quickly as possible.
You’ll start out in Twilight Gap, with a sizable swath of Seraph towers in front of you. The objective is to cross the zone without dying to the towers. You have 15 seconds to take cover and break line of sight after being detected by a tower. If you don’t, you’ll die a fairly explosive end. Use your mobility skills or an Eager Edge Sword to cut through this section swiftly. The road will be peppered with Hive, but you can safely ignore them.
Reach The Auxiliary Reactor Controls
There will be lots of Hive foes in the Seraph Bunker, but nothing that should seriously endanger you. You’ll encounter a locked door blocking your path halfway through the quest and no obvious way inside. To get an Arc charge, you must take out a nearby major. To unlock the door, place this charge into a nearby pylon. Keep an eye out for any foes on the road because you’ll need to perform this twice before you reach the final battle.
Sumok is a large Hive Ogre who uses a beam attack to deliver a lot of damage. A few Hive Acolytes and Thralls are supporting Sumok, and they will push you whenever you take cover. The key objective in this situation is to reduce Sumok’s health bar until it reaches 50%, at which time they will stop taking damage. You should concentrate on eliminating the adds in this section before dealing with Sumok. Hold onto your Super for the time being while you quickly damage the Ogre with some Heavy ammo.
Sumok will turn unstoppable and send out numerous Wrathborn Knights when his health is at half. When you defeat these Knights, they will drop green energy pools, which you may use to charge your weapons with Wrathborne energy and destroy Sumok’s shield with. To destroy the shield and the remaining half of the Ogre’s health bar, use your heavy or super attack. Fusion Rifles, Linear Fusion Rifles, and Rocket Launchers are excellent against Sumok. To complete the assignment, defeat the Ogre and turn on the neighbouring terminal.
