How To Earn The Scallywag Title Guide -After accomplishing 10 seasonal Triumphs in Destiny 2’s Season of the Plunder, the Scallywag title becomes available. While the majority of these tasks are rather simple, some of them have strict time limits or demand hours of grinding. Fortunately, if you don’t like grinding Ruffians or Deepsight weapons, you can bypass one of Scallywag’s nine Triumphs.
As a result, depending on which Triumphs you concentrate on, Scallywag’s difficulty will change. Not that it’s difficult to obtain, but you should be prepared for a lot tougher slog than with the prior seasonal titles. This guide will go over how to best complete each of the nine Scallywag Triumphs, from farming advice to upgrading suggestions.
Charles Burgar’s November 23rd, 2022 update In a mid-season update, Bungie significantly lowered the Scallywag Triumph requirements, cutting the title’s Triumph requirements to eight and eliminating a Triumph entirely. The criteria for killing ruffians has been greatly decreased, and you are no longer required to listen to audio logs. To reflect these changes, we updated this guide.
Only eight of the mentioned Triumphs must be performed for the Scallywag title to receive its seal. The “Salty Smith” Triumph is by far the time-consuming obstacle associated with this game, thus we strongly advise avoiding it.
Savior Of The Seven Seas -How To Earn The Scallywag Title Guide In Destiny 2
Saviour of the Seven Seas: Journey to each of the Pirate Hideouts and defeat the Pirate Lords within.
Story missions called Pirate Hideouts are made available through the Season of the Plunder questline. To complete this Triumph, vanquish every Pirate Lord by completing all eight weekly levels of the questline. For your trouble, you’ll also receive a book of lore.
With Full Sails
With Full Sails: Purchase all upgrades from the Star Chart in the H.E.L.M.
You can unlock 21 upgrades on the Star Chart. One Repute is needed to purchase each upgrade. By completing Seasonal Challenges that are based on Ketchcrash or the season’s plot, you can earn Repute. Keep an eye out for any seasonal challenges that reward you with reputation. Each set of challenges carries two Repute, and the seasonal questline awards one Repute.
These Seasonal Challenges can be found in the “Past Challenges” tab of the Seasonal Challenges menu if you’re playing in a future season. To find them, navigate to the “Season of the Plunder” section.
Beacon’s Guidance: Use the Treasure Beacons to decipher the location of the hidden treasure.
Three Treasure Beacons are available from the Star Chart vendor, each of which is locked behind a vendor rank:
- Small Treasure Beacon: Rank 7; available.
- Rank 10 has a Medium Treasure Beacon that is accessible.
- Rank 16 has a large treasure beacon that is available.
Playing Ketchcrash and Expedition will boost your Star Chart reputation. You’ll need to play dozens of games to reach R16 because bounties and consecutive matches don’t speed this up. The good news is that Ketchcrash and Expedition are connected to a lot of seasonal challenges. While you’re farming, complete these challenges to make the most of your time. All Seasonal Challenges are listed on our Destiny 2 hub page.
Crew’s Control: Summon each crewmates assigned as your First Mate during Expedition and Ketchcrash activities.
In Expedition and Ketchcrash, you must summon each First Mate 15 times to activate Crew’s Control. This is a reference to the First Mate upgrades that are unlocked in the fourth column of the Star Chart, for the purpose of clarity. Start either activity, unlock one of these upgrades, and throughout the mission keep an eye out for a pirate flag. Your Fire Mates will spawn when you interact with the flag.
The First Mate you summon, specifically for Expedition, depends on an upgrade in your Captain’s Log. You will be given the option to choose your First Mate when choosing an expedition map. 15 summons of each First Mate are required to complete the Triumph.
Crash Course: Complete the Ketchcrash activity on Master difficulty.
The Master version of Ketchcrash, which includes Champions and the Match Game modifier, is slightly harder than Normal. No new mechanics or other adjustments are made to the activity. The key distinction in this case is Power Level, so before starting this up, make sure you’re close to the Pinnacle Cap.
Furthermore, Master Ketchcrash lacks matchmaking, therefore if you want to form a fireteam, we strongly advise using an LFG service. With a very strong build, it is possible to solo this, but we found that gathering a group of unrelated individuals is considerably simpler. No mic groups should be simple to find since no coordination is needed. For this Triumph, only one clear is required.
Scourge Of Themis Cluster
Scourge of Themis Cluster: Defeat all Ketchcrash bosses.
Every week, the Ketchcrash boss switches roles. You must finish three weeks of nonstop Ketchcrash missions in order to defeat Ketchcrash’s three distinct bosses. If you chase titles, that’s not a huge request. Just keep in mind to restart the playlist after every weekly reset. For the Triumph, both Normal and Master Ketchcrash are considered.
Fabulous Wealth: Deposit treasure into the treasure haul.
The Exotic Engrams that drop during the Expedition mission are referred to as “treasure.” You must place 200 Engrams into the haul in order to receive this Triumph. Since there is no quick fix for this, we strongly advise that you first concentrate on other problems. You’ll ultimately complete this.
Robber Baron: Defeat Ruffians.
In the Expedition seasonal activity, Robber Baron wants you to beat 10 Ruffians (Unstoppable Champions). In a single Expedition run, you can engage in combat with up to four Ruffians.
A Ruffian always appears during the haul defensive phase, and a second Ruffian is likely to appear three minutes later. After a mid-season patch, ruffians did not despawn, therefore you don’t have to be concerned about missing the second ruffian during a defence part. There are a total of four Ruffians every run because the treasure haul stops twice during Expedition.
You should employ a rocket launcher or a linear fusion rifle to combat the ruffians. Put on your Heavy weapon to melt the Champion’s HP after using an Unstoppable weapon from the seasonal artefact to stun it. Try Leviathan’s Breath if you want a weapon that can kill and stun simultaneously. Don’t be too concerned about the delayed Ruffian spawn because you only need to kill ten of them to get this Triumph. In the worst situation, five runs of Expedition will be required to complete this.
Salty Smith: Unlock the patterns for the Season of the Plunder’s weaponry.
The most challenging Triumph is Salty Smith. Three Season of the Plunder-related weapon patterns must be unlocked. Weapons from King’s Fall do not count.
Red border weapons from Season of the Plunder are guaranteed by two Star Chart upgrades:
- Double Perk Weapon Spoils: Bungie changed this upgrade to grant a guaranteed Deepsight on your first weapon focus of the week, similar to past seasons.
- Hidden Compartment: Your first Ketchcrash clear of the week drops a Deepsight weapon.
It is advised that you acquire the two red weekly borders and hold off until the following reset. Although farming Expedition and Ketchcrash can theoretically result in more red borders, the drop rates are so incredibly low that we are unable to advise doing so. We’re talking single-digit drop rates.
In terms of weapons worth farming for, Tarnished Mettle, No Reprieve, and Brigand’s Law come highly recommended.
