Dates And Details For The Pokemon Go: Winter Holiday Event – When it comes to its many in-game events, Pokemon Go rarely takes breaks, hosting them one after another and giving players constant diversity with the various adjustments they bring to the game. Pokemon Go will host the Winter Holiday Event, a two-part holiday celebration, shortly after the previous short-lived event.
From December 15 at 10 a.m. local time through December 23 at 10 a.m. local time, the first portion of this event will take place. Check back as we get closer to the commencement of the Winter Holiday Event Part Two since this guide will be updated as details about the subsequent phase of the event are available.
The second instalment of the Winter Holiday Event has here and it includes a number of fresh improvements and modifications. From Friday, December 23 at 10 a.m. through Saturday, December 31, at 8 p.m. local time, this segment of the event will be held. We’ve updated our guide to reflect the upcoming changes to practically every facet of this event for your benefit.
Pokemon Go Debuts
New Costumed Pokemon
With the second phase of this event, brand-new Pokemon in costumes will be added to the game!
First, there’s a chance that you’ll see and catch Eevee in Pokemon Go for the first time while it’s sporting a festive hat. During the second phase of this event, this dressed Pokemon will be accessible through wild encounters, raids, and Field Research Task Encounters.
This Pokemon will retain its festive headgear if it evolves into any of its eight forms, which include Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. The costumed “Eeveelutions” can’t be found or caught in the wild, therefore this is the only method to get them.
Additionally, for the first time, Cubchoo sporting a ribbon with a festive motif can now evolve into Beartic while retaining its ribbon. You can conduct this evolution on both older Cubchoo and those that were caught during this event because this holiday-themed Cubchoo has previously been accessible.
A new Pokemon Mega Evolution called Mega Glalie will make its Pokemon Go debut during this event. This Pokemon can only be found during Mega Raids that require the assistance of other Trainers during the Winter Holiday Event.
If you complete this Mega Raid successfully, Glalie and, most importantly, Glalie Mega Energy will appear to you. You can Mega Evolve your own Glalie with the help of this Mega Energy.
As a reward for finishing this Mega Raid, there is a possibility of running into a Shiny Glalie.
It’s crucial to remember that it’s unclear when Mega Glalie will return to raids when the Winter Holiday Event is over. Use this to your advantage since there is no other way to obtain Glalie Mega Energy.
Pokemon Go: Winter Holiday Event Bonuses
For the second phase of the Winter Holiday Event, there will only be one main bonus, which is much less than what has normally been provided for prior Pokemon Go events. You may have up to 40 Gifts in your inventory during this event session. This perk allows you to stock up on the thing used to give things to other players on your friends list, fitting the winter holiday theme.
You can select among additional perks for this portion of the event by completing a unique Timed Research called “Will Your Wish Come True?” The details on this are listed below.
Pokemon Go: Winter Holiday Event Research
Timed Research: Will Your Wish Come True?
All players will have free access to the “Will Your Wish Come True?” Timed Research during the second phase of the Winter Holiday Event.
Three alternatives will be available for this Timed Research’s objectives and rewards: Pokemon capturing, Stardust gathering, and Egg hatching. Each player has the option to select which of these three focuses they find to be the most appealing, with incentives and in-game benefits based on their selection.
In addition, by fulfilling the requirements of this event, all players—regardless of the focus they select—will have the opportunity to get various items and encounters with holiday-themed event Pokemon, such as Galarian Mr. Mime.
Paid Timed Research
For the Winter Holiday Event, timed research will be offered for sale. From the beginning of the event until December 30, at 8 p.m. local time, you can get this for $5 USD from the in-game store. Being Timed Research, you will only be able to finish assignments and use rewards for a limited period of time, lasting until December 31, at 8 p.m. local time.
