Tim Blake Nelson, who starred in Watchmen, is the newest actor to be confirmed for Dune: Part Two. He joins Florence Pugh from Black Widow, Lea Seydoux from No Time to Die, Austin Butler from Elvis, and the late Christopher Walken as new cast members for the sequel. From the first movie, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, and Stellan Skarsgard are among the performers who are back.
Chalamet recently praised both his new and former co-stars, saying: “Actress Florence Pugh is amazing. She was truly remarkable when she played Dune.
“She infused the part with seriousness. And I still can’t believe how lucky I am to have Zendaya in Dune & Taylor Russell in Bones and All at such a young age. Austin Butler is included in [Cast of Dune Part 2] as well.
“In greater quantities, [Zendaya is] bringing everything she brought to the first one, which was incredible. She has actually developed into a sister. I’m very appreciative to have her as a friend, sister, and partner.”
The second movie’s plot is around “Paul Atreides’ mythological odyssey as he joins Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of vengeance against the conspirators who killed his family.”
If you still want more Dune, the HBO Max prequel series The Sisterhood has begun filming. The series will explore the beginnings of the group that subsequently became known as the Bene Gesserit, and is set about 10,000 years before the movie.
