For Marvel on Disney Plus, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has established a record. After starting its theatrical run in November, the movie was made available on streaming services earlier this month.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Sets New Record
According to Disney, the picture had the most number of hours seen on the streaming service during its first five days of availability worldwide. It thus surpasses the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022, two more Marvel films.

The events of Wakanda Forever begin after T’Challa’s demise and Chadwick Boseman’s terrible passing. In the movie, Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, assumes the identity of the Black Panther and faces up against Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, who rules the underwater realm of Talokan.
The sequel broke a record in 2022 by becoming the first picture to hold the top spot for four straight weekends at the box office, so it should come as no surprise that the movie has been a huge hit on Disney Plus. Although a sequel has not yet been officially confirmed, Wright has said that Black Panther 3 is currently in the works.

Another significant achievement for Marvel has been made with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda in the movie, is the first actor to receive an Oscar nomination for a Marvel production. For the role, she has already received a Golden Globe.
