New Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption:A remake of Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption will be released in Skyrim, courtesy of modders. In the popular forum NexusMods, someone calling himself Galejro is spearheading the project. It appears that the development has been ongoing for just over a year.
To commemorate the anniversary, Galejro published a second developer update describing his modding project for Skyrim as “trying to bring back Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption.” The mod is appropriately titled Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption Reawakened. As we celebrate the first anniversary of our work, we cover the last year of our work,” Gelejro explains in the video. The modder provides a link to a Discord server for those who would like to follow the development of the project or contribute to it.
In a video released around this time last year, Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption Reawakened was officially announced. While the project received little attention at the time, Galejro and the team have clearly made considerable progress, taking it from a mere concept to something that almost appears ready for a limited release.
It appears that the team working on Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption has grown from a “handful” to a “small crowd.”
The source material for the mod is a role-playing game developed by Nihilistic Software entitled Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption. A tabletop game by White Wolf Publishing, the game follows a twelfth century crusader, Christof Romuald, who becomes a vampire after being brutally murdered. Over the course of the next eight centuries, Romuald travels to both New York and London in search of his humanity in Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption.
The PC version of Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption was released on June 7, 2000. A strong community of dedicated players elevated the game to cult status after it received a mixed reception from critics. On November 16, 2004, a sequel to the game was released, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.
