Sequels to Avatar: 5 Things to Know
Release Date: The Upcoming Avatar 3, 4, and 5 will all visit theatres on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028, respectively.
Story – According to Jon Landau, the producer of the Movie’s series, each forthcoming installment will expose viewers to a different clan: “Every film will introduce viewers to new clans and cultures of Pandora. Other clans, which we’ll introduce in movie 3, will be featured in movie 4, and so on.” In addition, Jon Landau recently informed Gizmodo that Neytiri will visit Earth in Avatar 5.
Future Metkayina films will feature the new Metkayina clan characters introduced in Movie: The Way of Water (including, among others, Ronal, played by Kate Winslet, and Tonowari, played by Cliff Curtis): “Once a character is introduced, they continue to be developed. All we do is add to it. Therefore, you can anticipate seeing the Metkayina in later films that you see.”

Filming: Avatar 3’s production commenced on September 25, 2017, in New Zealand, and was completed in late December 2020. At the D23 Expo, it was confirmed that the main filming of the Movie’s 4th part would start on September 9 of that year. Apparently, pre-production on the 5th part has begun.
